A media celebrity named Lilian Muli is furious with trolls who make assumptions about her romantic life.
On Sunday, June 18, 2023, the Citizen TV news anchor was compelled to reply to rumours that, after a string of unsuccessful romances, she was willing to date younger, less wealthy men.
In a tweet, Lilian hinted that nothing could be farther from the truth and advised her followers to disregard any web claims as “fake”.
“Fake! Stop this rubbish,” the attractive woman captioned an image of a blog post from a local website.
Due to the phoney allegations, Lilian dominated Sunday morning’s Twitter trends for a good portion of the day.
Overeager Kenyans on Twitter, often known as KoT, chimed in on the issue, with some alleging that she was ageing.
On May 4, Lilian turned 41 years of age.
Since divorcing her spouse, Moses Kanene, in 2016, she has had a significant amount of romantic turbulence. After seven years of marriage, the two parted ways. Together, they have one child.
Later, the TV celebrity began dating Shabana FC president Jared Nevaton, with whom she also had a child.
Lilian got into a fight with the Shabana chief in a confrontation in 2018, referring to him as a “community husband.” They split up shortly after that.
Since their highly publicised split, Lilian has said that she wouldn’t ever settle for a regular partner.
“You are so deserving of being loved so passionately and wildly,” she said. “Never settle for an ordinary lover; never settle for less than you deserve.”
“You ought to be cherished completely, despite all of your faults and defects. You need a partner that prioritises your needs as if they are the only ones that matter.”
