On August 5th, there are a number of Championship games to look forward to, among them the matchup between Norwich City and Hull City.

At Carrow Road, where the match will take place, the home team is one of the contenders for promotion this time around, while the guests will be looking for an upgrade on their 15th-place finish from the previous campaign.

Following a friendly victory against Olympiakos by a score of 2-0, Norwich City enters the game. The Canaries had a successful preseason, winning all six of their games.

Along with beating Olympiakos, the team also triumphed over King's Lynn Town and Darmstadt while drawing with AZ, Kaiserslautern, and Barnet.

Norwich City had a dismal campaign last year, losing all five of their Championship games, notably their last three.

The losses came against Swansea City, Blackpool, and Middlesbrough at home, as well as away at West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough.

In their final five Championship games of the previous season, Norwich City only managed to earn one point, which came against Queens Park Rangers.

Statistics indicate that out of their last 11 Championship games, Norwich City have only managed one victory.

In their past five home Championship contests, they have failed to score, and in their last 13 Championship fixtures in their own stadium, they have let up goals 11 times.

After wrapping up their preseason with a 1-1 draw against Nantes, Hull City travelled to Carrow Road.

Hull City had a perfect preseason record, much like their rivals, but they only managed to win two of their six games.

Galatasaray and Barnsley were defeated, and draws were also had with Hatayspor, Bradford City, and Scunthorpe United.

Hull City experienced a respectable finish to the previous season and, according to trends, are unbeaten in eight of their past nine Championship games.

However, they have only won two of their past 11 Championship contests, and six of their last nine league contests have ended in draws.

Hull City's recent away performance in the Championship reveals that they have lost all 10 of their games.

They have endured draws in five of their past six away Championship games, as well as in their last eight travelling division contests, where they have only maintained two clean sheets.

Norwich City have been active in the transfer market, according to team news.

The club may see meaningful debuts from Christian Fassnacht, Borja Sainz, Ashley Barnes, and Shane Duffy, among others.

Hull City has also added a number of players to their roster, with Xavier Simons and Jason Lokilo being the two who stand the best chance of making an immediate impact.
