Inter boss Simone Inzaghi

With back-to-back triumphs, Inter has looked strong in the first few weeks of the Serie A season in 2023–24 under Simone Inzaghi.

The Champions League runners-up from last season didn't have any early jitters thanks to two 2-0 victories against Monza and Cagliari, and they'll be looking to continue the upward trend into the international break.

However, Fiorentina, which is undefeated in their first two games with four points, is likely to present a tough challenge for the home team.

Inter are the clear favourites coming into the game, but the home team will be optimistic that they have what it takes to keep their perfect record moving into the second week of September.

Inzaghi's squad is not constantly discovering the back behind the net, but they are succeeding enough to win games, as seen by the two goals scored in each of the aforementioned contests.

With his return from injury of 1.8 goals scored on average per game during the team's climb to a third-place Serie A finish last season, that will once again be an important component of Inzaghi's plans for the upcoming campaign.

However, Fiorentina keeps up their great goal-scoring streak, with six goals in two games, thus the average number of goals scored in an Inter game may go over 2.5 for the first time this season.

In this game, Fiorentina will aim to complicate things for Inter, and Inzaghi's streak of clean sheets so far this season may come to an end.

Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Darmian, de Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Martinez, Thuram

Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): Christensen; Dodo, Milenkovic, Martinez, Parisi; Melo, Mandragora; Gonzalez, Bonaventura, Kouame; Beltran

The match will be live on K24 EPL Maskani this Sunday.
