Chelsea secured a 2-0 victory over Fulham in the Premier League on Wednesday, thanks to goals from Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja. Mudryk scored his first goal in Chelsea blue, while Broja found the net during his first start in almost a year.

The Blues dominated the game, with their intense press and slick interplay proving too much for Fulham to handle. Speaking after the game, Chelsea's head coach, Mauricio Pochettino, said that the team got what they deserved, particularly in the first half, which they dominated.

Pochettino also praised his players for their recent performances, saying that the team needed the victory, as did the fans. He highlighted the importance of building belief and confidence in the team, especially given the negative circumstances they had faced with so many players being unfit.

"We got what we deserved," Pochettino said afterwards. "The first half we were much better than Fulham. In the second half, we were in control.

‘I’m so happy because the players needed this victory and so did the fans. We now have two victories in less than one week. We needed to feel the taste of victory, and another clean sheet also.

Both goalscorers were praised by Pochettino, who said that Mudryk and Broja deserved their goals. He also highlighted the importance of giving young players time to settle into the team and build confidence.

Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja goals

‘Now we have won two games we need to keep calm and keep building belief and confidence. We have had many negative circumstances with so many players not fit, but the most important thing is belief and the team believes in what we are doing.’

‘For Mischa, he scored his first goal in the Premier League, and for Armando after a long period out he scored again. I’m so happy for them, they deserve it.

‘We need to understand that young people need time and need to settle. It’s about adaptation. It’s a big change when Mudryk arrived here and when you arrive at a team, it’s not easy to settle in a team that isn’t solid. He wasn’t the cherry on the cake, they needed to add something to the team.

‘It’s about time, having patience, trusting these young talented players, building confidence. It’s a big job, step by step. Sometimes people don’t have the patience but for us, it’s about having the patience. Even when we weren’t winning, we were calm, stayed positive, had the belief.’

However, Mudryk was forced off at half-time due to a quad injury, and Pochettino provided an update on his condition. The coach said that they needed to assess the extent of the injury but hoped that it wasn't a big issue and that Mudryk would be available for Saturday's game.

‘He felt something in his quad which we need to assess. He didn’t feel comfortable to keep playing. We hope it’s not a big issue, we hope it’s nothing big and he can be available for Saturday.’

Chelsea will play Burnley this weekend. The match will live on K24 EPL Maskani with Abuller Ahmed.
