FA Cup final is a high risk event and scheduled to be played at the same time with Wolves game.

Police warn of inadequate security if played at the same time with Wolves at Molineux stadium.

The Football League has been informed by UK Metropolitan Police that the Carabao Cup final should begin at 15:00 GMT on  Sunday, February 25.

The match at Wembley between Chelsea and Liverpool has been deemed a "high-risk" event.

Police management of these matches has changed since the two teams' final two years ago, when the game started at 16:30 GMT.

The last time the EFL Cup final began at 15:00 GMT or earlier was in 2014.

While Manchester United and Manchester City's FA Cup final on June 3rd began at 15:00 BST, the Carabao Cup final between the two teams last season began at 16:30 GMT.

"We are working with partners including the Wembley Stadium, local authority, and EFL on agreeing the kick-off time," the Metropolitan Police said. "Preparations for the EFL Cup policing operation are under way following the conclusion of the two semi-finals."

"Our partners are aware that this match meets the criteria for being classified as a 'high-risk' fixture. As per national guidelines issued by the UK Football Policing Unit, the match should begin no later than 3pm."

A kickoff at 15:00 GMT may have an impact on Wolves' Premier League match against Sheffield United, which is slated to take place at Molineux on the same day.

The Wolves match is scheduled to begin at 13:30 GMT on Sky Sports, which has the rights to both games.

Among other Kenyan networks, the game will be broadcast live on Startimes, GOTV, and KBC.
