Kakamega pastor Peter Wafula closes down his church

Kakamega pastor Peter Wafula closes down his church, citing the end of his annoitting after winning a Ksh100 million bet. The pastor, who was operating a church in the suburbs of Kakamega town, closed down and opened two clubs.

Pastor Peter Wafula said he has been betting for over 5 years without getting sufficient money to start other businesses. Now he has acquired state-of-the-art clubs and a mansion for his family.

"We are now waiting for God's glory. I'm with my family, hoping to live and wait for the last day on earth. Thou shall not leave by bread alone but with the word of God. However, we also need that bread to survive," he said.

The pastor's wife has moved from their rural home to the leafy suburbs of Kakamega town and is now managing her husband's businesses. She said being a pastor's wife is hectic; however, managing the clubs gives a sense of full exposure to the world.

The pastor has three children with his 10-year-old married wife. He said that he has already secured transfers to one of the international schools in the town and is ready to take their second term.
