Zambia bans the use of human-like featured plastic dolls. According to the government, anybody found with the dolls will be jailed with not less than 5 years without bail or bond.


"Given that we're in a Christianity country, it is clear that we are guided by Christian principles that are based on ethics and morals, ”said Minister of State and Religious Affairs, Ms. Godfridah Sumaili. 


According to him, the sale or use of human-like or featured dolls is illegal in Zambia. 


He vowed that the government would make sure that no importation of such dolls from other countries including neighbors. 


"The law does not prohibit anyone from doing business or using this kind of materials so that's why we tell Zambians that this is a very unusual thing, So already, a bill was signed by President which prohibits dolls," she said.


"Those who sell clothes placed on dolls are also requested to burn those dolls. A crack will start on Monday, ' she said.


Samantha dolls have been trending across Africa. Zambia becomes the first country to ban the use of Dolls in Africa.
