Just a day after the Malindi Legislature Aisha Jumwa talked about controller of the budget position that was filled by Margaret Nyakango, Kilifi County Governor Amason Kingi in a press statement asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to reinstate Stephen Masha who was the acting controller of budget.



" We are also in a handshake. Our brother Stephen Masha needs recognition. He cannot just throw like that because he is not from the majority community." He said.


Stephen Masha who comes from Malindi constituency was a deputy controller of the budget before he was elevated to the controller of budget title in an acting capacity.


Others applied for the position include, William Kepkemboi, Elizabeth Mwathi, Celestine Munda, Karen Kandie, and the acting Stephen Masha.



President Uhuru Kenyatta nominated Margaret Nyakango as the new controller of the budget. She will face the Finance committee, vetted before being approved for the post for five years.
