Kisii State Lodge.

Kisii State Lodge now gazetted as a secured area on the exact date with the President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM chief Raila Odinga receiving the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report

A Gazette notice issued on Wednesday designates that no person shall be in the specified areas without the permission of the required directing authority or authority from the Cabinet of Interior and Coordination of National Government.

“For this Order, the prescribed authority shall be the Inspector General of the National Police Service,” the notice says.

Dr Matiang’i made the order in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 (1) of the Protected Areas Act.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga welcomed the much-awaited BBI document at the Kisii State Lodge on Wednesday morning.

President Uhuru declared that the document will be launched at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi on Monday, October 26, 2020.

“This document does not belong to me and Raila. It doesn’t! It belongs to you. It is not about this individual’s presidency and that individual’s prime ministership. It is about all of us. What we are looking for is a document about posterity,” he said.
