Former ODM County branch chair Samuel Omwando arrested over claimed plot to disrupt the Mashujaa Day celebrations on Tuesday.
On Sunday evening, police also arrested Bobaracho ward MCA Ibrahim Ongubo together with four other suspects said to be bloggers.
The MCA was at the Agriculture Training Centre for a Kisii leaders consultative meeting during his arrest.
The suspects are at Kisii Central Police Station awaiting arraignment.
Various statements show that police plan to have them charged with incitement to violence.
Family members dared the heavy downpour outside the police station calling for the release of their relative.
They accused the police officers of trying to suppress them.
According to a relative Meshack Oyondi, the Police officers are still brainstorming on the charges because most of those arrested are from the Tangatanga movement and had no clue of State function disruption.
He dismissed allegations that members of the Tangatanga wing were planning to interrupt a state function.
