A Kisii University lecturer  Peter Nyang’acha Moracha found dead in his house.

The cause is still unknown, though all evidence points to a grisly murder.

The deceased body was found inside his rented house in Mwembe area yesterday with deep wounds on the face, like those struck with a knife or panga.

The Kisii University Environmental Science lecturer disappeared ten days ago.

His brother Vincent Moracha said he reported the matter to the Police officers and they began a man-hunt before he was found dead.

Vincent found the frightful scene of Nyang’acha lying in a pool of blood.

Area chief Yobes Onkanga Mose says Nyang’acha could have been dead for the ten days he has been missing.

The family speculates Nyang’acha was killed by an invader who fled through the rear exit of the estate. Nyang’acha, 40, hailed from Suguta, Nyamache Sub-County, Kisii County.

His body was taken to Kisii County Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem as police continue to conduct investigations.
