Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria faces the wrath of assaults after pushing a woman over BBI analysis talk dispute.

The assault case against Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria will continue to its completion after consultations with the complainant aborted.

MP Moses Kuria is facing one count of assaulting and injuring Ms Joyce Wanja Gacie.

The offence allegedly perpetrated at the Royal Media Services on December 8, 2019.

The MP is said to have knocked Gacie to the ground when they were guests on an Inooro TV show, Kiririmbi, at a time when they had a heated debate on the Building Bridges Initiative report.

Gacie maintained that Kuria got angered by her emphasis on an explanation for using offensive words the Gatundu South MP had expressed in a public function.

Moses Kuria appeared in court on Thursday. His lawyer Geoffrey Omenke told Nairobi Chief Magistrate Mutuku that the parties did not agree hence the case can proceed to a full hearing.

The state prosecutor, Anthony Gikunda, told the court that the five witnesses he has lined up are ready to testify.
