Aston Villa vs Arsenal live on K24

Despite having stitches in his face, Calum Chambers is confident of being healthy for Aston Villa's match against old side Arsenal.

The defender was involved in a scuffle with West Ham's Craig Dawson, which Villa manager Steven Gerrard characterized as a 'forearm smash,' and which required repairs after the Hammers won a tense match 2-1.

Chambers isn't Gerrard's only injury concern as he looks to improve his team's terrible record against clubs above them in the standings, with Arsenal coming to Villa Park on the back of a five-game winning streak.

Ninth-placed Villa has lost nine of their 11 games against the current top eight this season, and Gerrard will be backed in the transfer market this summer as the club looks to close the gap on the elite.

Before the start of next season, the former Rangers manager is looking for a centre-back, a holding midfielder, and a wide attacker, with Sportsmail suggesting last Saturday that England international Kalvin Phillips will be a priority, especially if Leeds are relegated.
