The 2022 Magical Kenya Open golf tournament DP world tour happening between 3 March to 6 March 2022 takes shape at the Muthaiga Golf Club, Nairobi.
The European Tour, now called DP World Tour, visits the historic Muthaiga Golf Club for the first time when the Magical Kenya Open returns to the Race to Dubai from March 3-6, 2022.
The Magical Kenya Open began in 1967 and materialised on the European Tour’s schedule for the first time in 2019, having earlier taken its place on the Challenge Tour program since 1991.
Muthaiga hosted Kenya’s national open on 40 prior occasions, including the tournament’s very first edition. Seve Ballesteros, José María Olazábal and Ian Woosnam were featured golfers who have lifted the trophy at the Nairobi venue.
The 2022 Golf tournament edition marks the DP European Tours' first visit to the prestigious Muthaiga Golf Club established in the 1920s.
Before Muthaiga Golf Club, there was the Karen Country Club. Karen Country Club hosted the Race to Dubai event in 2019 and 2021.
Entry requirements
All participants in this event must have a double vaccinated certificate against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination certificate is mandated.
