The Champions League resumes this week, with a match between Benfica and Liverpool on Tuesday, April 5th.

This is the first leg of the quarter-final, and it will be held at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, providing Benfica home advantage.

Benfica enters the contest after a 3-2 loss to Sporting Braga in the Portuguese Primeira Liga over the weekend.

After falling behind 2-0 after 59 minutes, Benfica scored two goals in the 74th and 77th minutes to draw level. Sporting Braga, however, scored their third goal to win the game barely two minutes after the equalizer.

As a result of such defeat, Benfica has little chance of winning the Portuguese crown this season, and they are also unlikely to finish in the Top Four.

Benfica is unbeaten in their last four Champions League games. They've won two of those four games, with victories over Dinamo Kyiv at home and Ajax away, the latter of which was an impressive 1-0 triumph in the round of 16.

Benfica has gone unbeaten in their previous five home matches in all tournaments, according to the statistics.

They have only lost one of their past eight home Champions League games, scoring two or more goals in seven of them.

Liverpool goes to the Estádio do Luz after a 2-0 Premier League triumph against Watford at Anfield.

Liverpool won handily in the end, but Watford had a few decent chances to score during the game.

As a consequence of this outcome, Liverpool is unbeaten in their past four games in all tournaments, winning each of them.

However, their most current setback came in the Champions League at home against Inter Milan, although the 1-0 loss was insufficient to reverse their 1-0 advantage from the first leg in Italy.

The Reds have won seven games in a row away from home in all competitions. In the Champions League, the Reds have lost one game in this campaign.
