Nancy Wanjala Mwashumbe, a UDA party candidate is dead

Nancy Wanjala Mwashumbe, a UDA party candidate, died. In Mombasa County, Mwashumbe represented Chaani Ward.

On the night of Thursday, April 7, near Voi at Ngutunyi, on the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway, the retired teacher was killed in a horrific traffic accident.

She was on her way to her brother's funeral on April 9th.

Her tragedy came only hours after another UDA aspirant, Wesley Kibet, was perished in a car accident in Nairobi's Kangemi neighbourhood.

Kibet was scheduled to appear on a chat show on KASS FM Radio on Thursday, April 7th, according to his most recent social media post.

Sending his condolence message UDA Party Leader William Ruto posted;


"United Democratic Alliance commiserates with the families, relatives and friends of Wesley Kibet Kogos (Tingeet) who was one of our parliamentary aspirants for Nandi Hills constituency and Nancy Wanjala Mwashume Mwashuma of Chaani Ward in Mombasa County who passed on through road accidents.

We pray to God to comfort their families and constituents. The UDA family stands with them during these difficult times."
