Deputy President William Ruto's wife, Rachel Ruto

The Kenyan Association of Atheists has challenged Deputy President William Ruto's wife, Rachel Ruto, to conduct water treatment wonders across the country after she reported that the water in their home suddenly turned pure following her prayers.

The association's president, Harrison Mumia, issued a statement on Saturday, May 7, urging Mama Racheal to visit contaminated water boreholes and carry out the required miracles.

Mumia added that if Mama Racheal produced comparable miracles, it would aid in the verification of her claims.

"During a prayer session with clergy from Evangelical Churches at their Karen property, Rachel Ruto, the wife of the Deputy President, stated outrageously that she prayed for unclean water from their well and it was cleansed."

"If Rachel Ruto wants Kenyans to trust her allegation, she should repeat the miracle in many more filthy boreholes around the country, purifying the water within them in a provable manner," Atheists said in a release.

The group criticized the DP's wife for deceiving Kenyans by claiming that miracles could not be scientifically confirmed.

"Either Rachel Ruto is exaggerating or she is wrong. The fact that she claims a miracle occurred does not imply that it occurred. Otherwise, she should stop deceiving the people into accepting miracles are real," stated part of the statement.

The revelation came just hours after Mama Racheal described how they cleansed the water at their Karen home by praying and pouring salty water into the borehole.

Notwithstanding Ruto's investment in pricey purifiers, she claimed that the water in their borehole was still contaminated.

"I went and declared Elisha's statements." I went to the borehole and declared that this water would never be polluted again, and I spread the salty water around it. "I raced fast to the home since it was beginning to rain," Mama Rachel explained.

"I returned home on Friday and proceeded to my other residence because I had some visitors." When I arrived, I saw the water was different. So while I was waiting for the visitors to leave, I asked my son, Shadrack, what had happened to the water," she explained.

Mama Racheal was joined by Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, Mathira Member of Parliament, Rigathi Gachagua, and other Kenya Kwanza leaders at the DP main residence for a prayer meeting.
