The body of a woman was found in her house in Ruiru, which is in Kiambu County. On Tuesday, Christopher Kiptum Keter was taken into custody in relation to her killing.

Christine Makena Maingi had been missing for three days before her body was found in the home she shared with her parents on February 8.

It is thought that she vanished sometime on February 5 after her parents, who are now located in Dubai and Meru, were unsuccessful in their attempts to get in touch with her.

Pastor Christopher Kiptum Keter was arrested for sacrificing Christine Makena Maingi and others to a cult

Even though they first looked into the case as a possible suicide, their questions led them to think that she may have been killed by someone they didn't know.

During the investigation, it was found that Maingi spent the nights of February 5 and 6 with a man who had not been named.

The police say that they were able to find and catch a 50-year-old man named Christopher Kiptum Keter in the Mukuru Kwa Njenga slum in Nairobi, which is where they thought he was hiding.

According to surveillance video and information obtained from the dead person's mobile phone, the investigators said on Wednesday that the perpetrator had been the final person seen with the dead individual.

In anticipation of Keter's sentencing on March 9th, the police are currently holding him. He informed the authorities that Maingi was one of his prayer partners.

He went on to say that he had known her for quite some time. At the residence in Mukuru where he was apprehended, he was with a lady at the time of the incident.

The cult is being investigated as a possible motivation for the murder by the police.

The lady made her purchases of unusual knickknacks and then sent them to Dubai for her mother, who had a business there.

Tina, as her customers liked to call her, was the owner of Nairobi's Curio Tours at the time of her death.

According to the police, she was by herself at the time of the event. Justus Ombati, head of the DCI in Ruiru, said that they are certain that they have the proper suspect and that he or she would be charged with murder.
