Burnley vs Chelsea match live

Looking to secure consecutive wins before the international break, Chelsea will face Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

After a frustrating start to the season, Mauricio Pochettino's team managed to turn things around by defeating Fulham on Monday night, thus avoiding falling into the relegation zone.

With a challenging schedule ahead, including matches against Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham, and Newcastle, Chelsea needs to ensure their victory at Craven Cottage was not an isolated incident.

Burnley, on the other hand, managed to secure their first Premier League win of the season against Luton in midweek, although they are yet to earn any points at home.

James, who was handed a one-game ban due to his "abusive behaviour" towards the referee, has been a source of controversy. Meanwhile, there is also controversy over plans to demolish the 1980s M&S store on Chelsea's Kings Road.

Chelsea has also been hit by Chilwell and Mudryk's injuries ahead of their Burnley clash.

TV Channels that will air Burnley vs Chelsea

Burnley vs. Chelsea is set to kick off at 3 pm BST on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Turf Moor.

The match will not be televised live in the United Kingdom due to the 3 p.m. blackout.

However, highlights will be available on Match of the Day on BBC One on Saturday at 10:30 pm BST. The match will be live on Kameme TV and K24 TV.

Lyle Foster is expected to lead the attack for Burnley after scoring in their latest victory against Luton. There are no new injury concerns for the Clarets, and only Hjalmar Ekdal and Michael Obafemi remain long-term absentees.

Chelsea's Moises Caicedo is expected to be fit for the game, having recovered from a knock he sustained in their last match against Fulham. However, the availability of Mykhailo Mudryk is still uncertain, as the club is assessing the thigh injury that forced him off at half-time.

Ben Chilwell will be out until December with a hamstring injury, while Malo Gusto remains suspended. Reece James, Christopher Nkunku, Trevoh Chalobah, and Wesley Fofana are among those who are still unavailable.
