Police car in David Wanjala place

Investigations are now being conducted by the police in Kaplamai, which is located in Trans Nzoia County, into the homicide of a 27-year-old man who was allegedly stoned to death over a monetary debt.


An elderly member of the community informed the authorities, which led to the discovery of the corpse of David Wanjala Waswa.


The following is an excerpt from a police report on the incident: "Police officers from Sibanga Police Post reacted to the scene with locations of criminal activity personnel and DCI officers from Trans Nzoia East Sub-County and other law enforcement personnel." 


"It has been determined that one David Wanjala Waswa was stoned to death on accusations of debt of an undetermined amount throughout the night of March 21, 2024, at an unknown time." 


Additionally, according to the police, Martin Shikuku and Obed Musala, who are now considered relevant individuals in the investigation, were involved in a confrontation with Waswa prior to the event.


Although it's still unclear where the two people are, a manhunt has begun in their search.


The police report stated that they retrieved exhibits of stones containing streaks of blood, one trouser, and a shirt from the scene. They also found one of the trousers and a shirt.


The Kitale County Hospital mortuary received the corpse of Waswa prior to the postmortem examination.
