After a man commits suicide inside Kanjo’s small structure, Machakos County officers are under siege.

A deeply disturbing incident took place at Machakos Bus Park on Monday after a man (reportedly a Makanga/conductor) tragically committed suicide using a belt in what is suspected to have been a protest against his detention by Machakos County enforcement officers (Kanjos), who locked him inside a small structure where he was found hanging. His pants were partially down.

Netizens couldn’t hold their views: “People are going through a lot in this country, and death seems like an easy way out of this miserable, wretched life under Ruto.” May God help us all.”

“That sounds like a tragic and disturbing incident. Suicide is a deeply concerning issue, and it’s important for authorities to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding it. Enforcement officers should take allegations of mistreatment or abuse seriously and address them appropriately.”

This serves as a reminder to treat others with the respect we deserve. Quite unfortunate.”

“Do county law enforcers have constitutional powers to arrest someone and confine him in a room for a whole night?”

“Taking your own life isn’t an option. Remain hopeful. If our parents had taken their own lives, where would we be? Think twice.”
