Alicia Kanini’s 24-Hour Sex Marathon Guinness Record Attempt Sparks Outrage

OnlyFans star Alicia Kanini’s 24-hour sex marathon Guinness record attempt has ignited fierce public backlash after the little-known social media personality announced plans to break a controversial adult-world record by engaging in nonstop sexual activity with between 48 and 72 men over a full day, openly soliciting participants via direct message.

In a series of explicit videos posted on TikTok and Instagram, the 26-year-old declared she wants to “make Kenya proud again” following the widespread support shown to Truphena Muthoni, who recently hugged a tree for over 72 hours in a successful Guinness World Records bid.

Kanini repeatedly compared the two challenges, claiming both require “endurance, stamina, and national unity” while urging men aged 18 to 45 to slide into her DMs if they are “serious, tested, and ready to perform on camera.”

By morning, screenshots of her posts had spread across X, WhatsApp groups, and Facebook, triggering a storm of condemnation from mixed leaders and ordinary citizens who branded the proposed stunt dangerous, degrading, and potentially illegal.

Health professionals expressed alarm over the physical impossibility and medical risks involved. A consultant gynaecologist explained that continuous sexual activity for 24 hours without adequate breaks could cause severe trauma, urinary tract infections, dehydration, and life-threatening blood clots.

She added that even with precautions, the volume of partners dramatically raises the chance of contracting incurable infections.

A small minority of online users defended her right to bodily autonomy, arguing that if tree-hugging and sex marathons are personal choices, they deserve equal support. Most replies, however, ranged from mockery to outright disgust, with memes comparing her planned event to “a human nyama choma rotisserie”.

Whatever Kanini’s next move, her widely condemned announcement has reopened national conversations about the limits of social media fame, the sexualisation of women’s bodies for views, and the urgent need for stronger mental health support for content creators who chase viral moments at any cost.
