Video: How Epstein Used Underground Tunnels to Traffic Minors

A US congressman has made serious claims, saying that the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein used secret tunnels to bring underage children to former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, as well as some unnamed members of Congress.

These unproven claims started from a popular video shared on X and have caused a lot of debate and doubt because there is no reliable evidence to support them.

The congressman, who was not named in the posts, allegedly claimed that Epstein helped traffic children through hidden tunnels under Washington, DC, including areas close to the White House and Capitol Hill.

Posts on X, including one from @RyanMattaMedia, said, “A US congressman shows how Epstein was delivering minor children to Bill Clinton, Obama, and members of Congress using an underground tunnel system,” and included a link to a video that many people have been watching.

Other users, like @YingJie22739040 and @ishka2023, repeated this claim in different languages, spreading it even more.

Court documents related to Epstein, including papers released in January 2024 from a lawsuit filed by victim Virginia Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell, show Epstein knew famous people like Clinton but do not provide evidence of tunnels or direct involvement in trafficking by Clinton, Obama, or Congress members.

A 2024 investigation by PolitiFact dismissed similar claims, stating there was no proof of such tunnels or child rescues under Capitol Hill and calling them part of conspiracy theories linked to QAnon.

Clinton, who appears in Epstein’s flight logs for trips on the “Lolita Express” in 2002 and 2003, has denied knowing about Epstein’s crimes. His spokesman, Angel Ureña, said in 2019 that Clinton “knows nothing about the terrible crimes” and never visited Epstein’s private island.

Obama has not been directly connected to Epstein in court documents or reliable reports. The rumours about him mostly come from less credible sources, which claimed without evidence that he took part in “satanic rites” with Epstein.

The tunnel claims are similar to other false stories, one from Before It’s News in 2021 that said US Special Forces rescued children from tunnels beneath the White House. This story was also rejected by Reuters and PolitiFact as untrue.

These allegations have brought back discussions about Epstein’s connections to influential people and the openness of investigations into his crimes.

Epstein died by suicide in 2019 while he was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. He was known for being around powerful figures, but there is no evidence from his case that shows an underground trafficking network.

Critics say these claims show a larger pattern of conspiracy theories taking advantage of public distrust, with a 2024 TIME report noting how Epstein’s documents still create excitement even though they do not offer many new facts.
