A cosy evening in Nyahera village, just a stone’s throw from the shimmering shores of Lake Victoria, suddenly turns into a scene straight out of a thriller. As thunder roared and rain hammered down like it had a personal grudge, a fierce lightning bolt decided to crash the party. Neighbours still can’t believe their eyes or ears. The strike zapped a tree right next to Pamela’s house, exploding into a shower of dazzling sparks that lit up the whole yard.
Folks heard this massive boom, like the sky itself cracked open, followed by panicked yells. Local chief Peter Ochieng called it nothing short of a divine dodge, especially since lightning packs such a punch. Who walks away from that? Pamela, that’s who; she’s hugging her blessings tight now. Weather folks are keeping a close eye on things, warning that more wild storms could rumble through western Kenya thanks to those moody shifts over the lake.
