Bayern Munich Crush Heidenheim 4-0 to Claim Winter Title, Kane Hits 100th goal involvement

Bayern Munich finished 2025 on a high note with a comfortable 4-0 win over Heidenheim at Voith-Arena on December 21. The victory means they head into the winter break nine points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table. Borussia Dortmund sit second after their own win earlier in the weekend.

The game saw goals from Josip Stanisic, Michael Olise, Luis Diaz, and Harry Kane. Stanisic headed in the opener early on. Olise made it 2-0 after some sloppy defending from the hosts. Diaz added the third late with another header from a Stanisic cross. Kane sealed the win in stoppage time with a sharp finish.

That late goal was special for Kane. It marked his 100th goal involvement in the Bundesliga – that’s goals plus assists – in just his 78th appearance. He got there faster than anyone since records started being tracked this way. Arjen Robben took 119 games to reach the same mark back in the day.

Kane has been in top form all year. He ends 2025 with around 51 goals for Bayern alone, a personal best for a calendar year. Add in his England strikes, and it’s even more. Bayern as a team have scored the most goals in the league so far this season, 55, and let in the fewest, just 11.

Vincent Kompany had to rotate his squad for this one. Manuel Neuer and Joshua Kimmich were missing. Some players were dealing with illness or minor knocks. Young goalkeeper Jonas Urbig kept a clean sheet on his chance. The depth showed, as Bayern controlled the game without too much trouble.

Heidenheim tried to stay in it. They hit the bar once in the second half. But Bayern had most of the chances and could have won by more. The home side stay near the bottom and will hope for better in the new year.

For Bayern, it’s a strong position going into the break. They remain unbeaten in away league games throughout 2025. Kompany has them playing solid football, mixing attack and defence well.

Kane’s record is the big talking point. At 32, he’s showing no signs of slowing down. He links up play, scores all types of goals, and helps teammates. Fans in Germany love him for it. This milestone came on the last day of the year, a nice way to wrap up.

The Bundesliga returns in January. Bayern will look to keep their lead and push for another title. Dortmund and others will try to close the gap. But right now, it’s Bayern’s league to lose. Kane will be key to that.

Plenty of football to come in 2026. For now, Bayern and Kane can enjoy the holidays knowing they’ve done well thus far. The England captain has broken more records in Germany. It’s been a good move for him so far.
