Police along Forest Road abducted the doctor, who was providing first aid and emergency treatment during the Reject Finance Bill 2024 protest, and took him to an unknown location.

Though the police declined to capture Dr. Austin Omondi, alias Japrado, an eyewitness says the DCI officers from Kabete and Kiambu abducted the man. He identified the officers because they were in plain clothes throughout the protests, according to sources.

According to multiple sources, the officers in the Subaru passed Jogoo Road a few minutes past 1300 hrs, speeding towards Donholm on plate number KCU819H.

Dr. Austin Omondi, also known as Japrado, who has been providing medical aid to the injured during the #RejectFinanceBill2024 protests, was abducted while overseeing a blood drive at Sikh Union Club Chandaria on Forest Road.

According to other sources, his only mistake was to mobilise, organise a successful blood donation drive, and arrange for medics to provide medical assistance to the injured protesters.

The move comes after some hours where the president demanded a comprehensive report on who is sponsoring and financing the ongoing protests.

The officers now want to know who is sponsoring him, as they are in denial that all these demonstrations and volunteering are organic.

The protesters were further infuriated by a policeman’s statement, “Wacha akufe…” after he injured a peaceful protester. The policeman’s statement went viral on social media.
