Deputy President William Ruto is expected to visit Coast region from 17th August 2019 to launch projects started by H.E Uhuru Kenyatta.
Uhuru, Ruto and Raila to tour Coast region this August
He is expected to open the Mombasa Waterfront project with Raila Odinga, opening South Coast channel, and later he will visit Kilifi county, Lamu and finish his tour in Mombasa where he will be accompanying President Uhuru Kenyatta in Opening the Mombasa Agricultural and Cultural Show at Mkomani.
Tukutane Mombasa festivals will commence after the Mombasa waterfront opening, Mombasa governor commented.
Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho will spearhead all the Deputy President functions in Mombasa until the ASK show opening.
Deputy President William Ruto will also inspect his hotel(Dolphin) at Shanzu before it’s opening in October. The president is expected to be in Mombasa from 26th August 2019 to inspect and see the progress on the blue economy initiative.
