Mombasa police nabbed Sh.5 Million Marijuana transported to a Politician

Mombasa county Police nab five sacks of Marijuana stuck in a trailer.  The consignment allegedly belongs to a Mombasa MCA. 

Police in Mombasa County has apprehended a man who was found with five sacks of marijuana estimated to have a street value worth Ksh. 4million. The man is said that he was transporting the drugs to a politician in Mombasa.

The marijuana sacks were uncovered at Jomvu area in Miritini, being hauled in a trailer on Monday morning. 
Jomvu OCPD James Mutua said the trailer was headed to Mombasa from Uganda.

Police patrolling the area at around 4:30 am found the truck driver and his friend offloading the sacks which were wrapped under the trailer.

Police launched a manhunt of the politician who went on hiding. The man said he has been transporting Marijuana to the politician for over a year.
