Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has accomplished a lot of advancements in Nairobi for two years than other governors who have been on the seat for seven years now. 


The two years Sh. 70 Billion budget allocation to the city-county has made a big difference. The cartels at the city have nowhere to milk and siphon cash as the new systems have rendered clean processes.


Some of the projects that Governor Mike Sonko has done are outlined with the zeal of performance in contrary to what majority thought after the 2017 elections.


The Nairobi City County government launched a data center to better service delivery in the city. "We are working on building a digital city, " data center expert said. 


Of all the Governors in Kenya, Governor Mike Sonko has had the biggest challenges and most of them are from people who want to control Nairobi County on the backdoor, the Catels. "Nairobi county is infested with more cartels than any other county in Kenya which the Governor is trying to dismantle, " Mike Ogutu a Nairobi resident said.


The renovations at Mbagathi Hospital is one of them is Kind. Beautification of the hospital compound, introduction Security Personnel, additional of health personnel, renovations of maternity wing and construction of Laboratory are some of the changes in the hospital.


Pumwani Maternity Hospital had its own share which includes; Installation of Cold Room, renovation of six maternity Wards and Installation of Milk Bank Machines. 


 "If governor Sonko was corrupt could he have built over 100KM of roads,8 markets, fire stations, upgraded hospitals & built Dandora FIFA standard stadium in a period of 2yrs? My answer is NO!" Said Phillip Ndirangu a Nairobi resident.


The digital city hall has rendered inability to access it through the backdoor. ICT Installation of Data Center at City Hall. The Datacenter has modern technology that has enabled the County to digitize its operations including a collection of revenue, e.i. Parking fees, rent, land rates, etc.




The Nairobi county government bought Disaster Fire Engines and Ambulances. The county upgraded disaster management unity through the construction of Kangudo Fire Station, Construction of Waitaka Fire Station and Dagoretti South Reclaimed Gigir Fire Station



Mama Lucy has the only tremendous equipment in Kenya. The county bought more and enough Land for construction of Mama Lucy Maternity Wings, Construction of TB Center, Equipped the Hospital with Cancer  UR Machine and Installation of the only Oxygen Plant in Kenyan public hospitals.


The staff biometric identification system aids in vetting and weeding out ghost workers. That has been taking advantage of the loopholes. 



Inspired by the passion of empowering the youth, Sonko Rescue Team comprises young and energetic people who are very ready to respond to an emergency situation. The project has seen very tremendous growth since its inception employing more and more youths. 



 The transport sector has been enabled and enhanced through Rehabilitation of Ndwaru road in Waithaka, Construction of Captain Mungai Street in Eastleigh North, Rehabilitation of Lumumba Drive in Roysambu ward, Rehabilitation of Muyuyu Road in Kahawa West and Rehabilitation of Martin Catholic Church Road in Huruma.  


Bus and Matatu terminus are constructions are ongoing. The Ongoing construction of matatu terminus in Kariobangi South once completed will help to reduce traffic jam in the area by giving space to matatus which are dropping passengers on the riad midst in the area.


Dandora Stadium is complete and Four city stadiums are being rehabilitated for Sh350 million. City stadiums includes; City Stadium in Makongeni, Joseph Kang’ethe in Kibera, Ziwani in Kariokor and Kihumbuini in Parklands.
