President Uhuru Kenyatta made an extemporaneous inspection visit of the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) new asphalt blending plant on Kangundo Road on Friday evening.

During the guided tour, the President, who was accompanied by Infrastructure CS James Macharia and NMS Director General Major General Mohamed Badi, witnessed the processing, loading and application of asphalt blended at the new facility.

"The asphalt that you will process here will be used to make roads in Mukuru, Kibera, Mathare and in all corners of Nairobi," the President said as he urged Kenyans to continue living together in peace and harmony.

" What I need in this country is peace, Coexistence and harmony. People should understand one another despite being from different backgrounds. We are all Kenyans, " he added.

However, Critics say President Uhuru Kenyatta needs another handshake with his deputy William Ruto to have a full peaceful state which is currently polarised.

" I humbly beg President Uhuru Kenyatta to heed to my counsel: You have two sons, if you show favouritism to one natural instinct shall make the other to rebel and your family shall burn. Hence, please hand-shake Ruto or hand-unshaken Raila to save Kenya from burning, " said Rev. Timothy Njoya.
