In the battle for the Bomet woman lawmaker seat, Linet Chepkorir, the youngest contender seeking the UDA ticket, has won.

Chepkorir overcame all circumstances and fought valiantly during her quest for the UDA ticket, which drew ten other candidates.

Eunice Benson received 27,711 votes, Stacey Chepkemoi 26,808, Beatrice Tonui 20,495, Cecilia Mutai 16,644, Susan Koech 12,410, and Brenda Chepngetich 11,901 votes, respectively.

Joan Towett and Faith Chepkirui were among her opponents.

Chepkorir, sometimes known as 'Toto,' rose to prominence in early 2021 after a candidates' conference at Deputy President William Ruto's Karen house.

Her pictures went popular on social media, and she was dressed in a yellow sweatshirt and a cap.

She later received a big boost when she was acknowledged and provided the chance to speak to the crowd during Ruto's rally at Bomet Green Stadium.

Chepkorir has continued to get huge support from around the county, particularly among the youth, since then.

All across the quest, the Chuka University graduate, who is 24 years old, has had hard times.
