James Kifo Muriuki, who attacked his wife in May 2020, was sentenced to 50 years in jail by a Chuka magistrate.
Muriuki was accused of beating and gravely injuring his wife as well as supergluing her genital organs.
According to Principal Magistrate Njoki Kahara of the Chuka Law Courts, James Kifo Muriuki was tried and convicted on Saturday, December 23, of physically abusing and seriously injuring his wife.
After spending quality time working in Nairobi, Muriuki reportedly assaulted his wife upon his return to Tharaka Nithi.
He had instructed her to name every guy she had been sleeping with while he was away while just wearing her pants.
After thrashing her, he forced a mixture of salt, pepper, and superglue into her genitalia with a knife.
He entered a not-guilty plea to domestic violence charges, attempted murder, an unnatural act, and acting immodestly toward his wife in June 2020.
She supposedly had her lips and ears shut before he abandoned her.
A few days later, Muriuki was arrested and remanded in Embu GK Prison after the action.
