Raila Odinga at Jacaranda grounds

Raila Odinga, the leader of the opposition, wants to hold a large protest this weekend in Kibra, Nairobi. This is part of an effort to hold President Ruto's government accountable.

Since the early days of the year, Odinga has been active in his political efforts, adamant that he won the election notwithstanding the Supreme Court's decision to reject his appeal against President William Ruto's win, which put the issue to rest.

Last month, he conducted sizable protests in Kamukunji and Jacaranda grounds, where he promised to protest President Ruto's inauguration and claimed that the election had been rigged. He did not, however, provide any proof.

He did not, however, provide any proof. Wandayi echoed the demands made by Odinga at the protest over the weekend, when he promised to pursue justice "because this administration is not working for Kenyans," saying that "the cost of living is up and continuously increasing, but the regime is not doing anything about it."

Days after a whistleblower alleged that President Ruto was installed illegally, Odinga addressed the rally in Kamukunji and Jacaranda, saying, "Instead of continuing to work, this current regime of Ruto is just politicking; we will not allow that to continue, and that is why I say that we know the election was rigged."

Odinga's most recent effort, however, has been rejected by President Ruto and his supporters as a waste of time. They say that Odinga's claims of election fraud are "a bit too late" because he had plenty of time before the Supreme Court.

After stating that he is not "interested in a handshake with Ruto," Odinga has left people in the dark about his true intentions and game plan.

Wandayi said on Monday that the alliance will continue to work for reform in the nation after losing the August 2022 election to William Ruto.

On Friday, February 10, 2023, in Mavoko, Machakos County, another baraza would take place after the Kibra demonstration, Wandayi said.
