Kimani Ngunjiri gunshot drama

Kimani Ngunjri, the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) of Lands, broke his silence despite pulling a revolver after a heated argument about land.

CAS Ngunjiri acknowledged firing, but he claimed he did it out of self-defence.

He said that a group of around 50 young people attacked him on his property and thought he was a trespasser.

"I rented the property for agricultural purposes. The crowd invaded the farm and demanded that I vacate after accusing me of intruding on the property."

According to the CAS, "I testified that I rented the land for five years starting in 2018 and additionally produced the leasing document."

But the guy with the axe in the video started leading the throng that was storming at him. In an effort to frighten them, he pulled his gun, but in vain.

"The guy approached me and attempted to swat me with the axe." In self-defence, I fired the second bullet, and I found one person trapped," Ngunjiri stated.

But he said that the victim of the shooting was attempting to defend him from the attacker.

The former Bahati Member of Parliament (MP) clarified that the injury was only a superficial wound from a gunshot. He also got hurt in the altercation.

"The crown began throwing stones at me once I began firing. " The ex-MP described how one of the stones struck him in the shoulder, resulting in a dislocation.

Initial accounts after the release of the footage said that the guy wielding the axe had assaulted the Ngunjiri for reportedly attacking his sister physically.
