Sabina Chege reveals how Azimio stole her iPhone 14 after striking her with a bottle of water

In response to the commotion that broke out in Parliament on Thursday after a decision by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula that saw her maintained as Deputy Minority Whip, nominated MP Sabina Chege now alleges that her iPhone 14 was stolen.

Speaking at the first-ever Coffee Conference in Meru County on Friday, Chege pleaded with anybody who took the phone to give it back to her and asked Deputy President Rigathi, who organised the event, to get involved to help her get the phone back.

“In addition to hitting me, they also took my phone. Your Excellency, our DP Rigathi Gachagua, the phone is an iPhone 14, and I need your help and assistance so that I may get it back. Please return the phone to me,” she pleaded with the thieves.

On the day of the event, after the Speaker’s decision, unrest arose when members of both parties of the House began insulting one another. As a result of the ensuing pandemonium, Chege is reported to have been struck with a bottle.

The speaker had to call a 15-minute break in order for things to calm down, but even when the meeting started back up, the jeering persisted.

Wetangula was obliged to expel seven MPs as a result of the subsequent brawl for terms ranging from two meetings to two weeks.

The House will be without Millie Odhiambo, Rosa Buyu, Sabina Chege, and TJ Kajwang for two weeks, while Fatuma Muyanzi, Catherine Omanyo, and Joyce Kamene were ordered to abstain for five days each.

Wetangula decided that the “said members, among other things, disobeyed a Speaker’s ruling, made disruptive remarks, used force against a member of the house, and acted in a manner to the serious detriment of the dignity of the house.”
