Liverpool close to sign Kylian Mbappe (€250) and Jeremy Doku from ligue 1

According to reports, Kylian Mbappe and Jeremy Doku, two Ligue 1 players, are close to joining Liverpool. Mbappe hasn’t spoken about his own professional future but has spoken out about Doku, a standout for Rennes.

Marca reports that Liverpool is prepared to make a €250 upfront offer with an additional €50 in add-ons to Paris Saint-Germain for the services of Mbappe, with his present club wanting to make a profit this summer rather than risk losing him to Real Madrid on a free transfer in the future.

Although it is unknown whether such rumours are true, Liverpool’s pursuit of Doku may now seem more plausible after Mohamed Taboucje-Ter reportedly stated that “their ambition is serious.”

Doku, a flying winger who is still only 21, got six goals and an additional two assists for Rennes in Ligue 1 last season, and he has a far more reasonable price tag of €16.8m.

He remarked, “Recently, I had a conversation with my father about a player who impressed me because of his speed qualities, and that’s Doku at Rennes,” in June 2021.

“In my five years as a professional, I’ve never seen someone from an early-stage display so much power.”

The aforementioned goal and assist figures may not give the Belgian teenager credit because Doku is a physical marvel. Over the last year, Doku has recorded greater percentages of take-ons (7%) and shot-creating activities (6%) than any other winger in Europe’s five top divisions.

Doku has pleased Kevin de Bruyne, who is now a full member of the Belgium national team, as well.

After Doku netted his first goal for his country, De Bruyne remarked, “He’s nimble, fast, and he can dribble. He occasionally makes mistakes, but who doesn’t? He’s an undiscovered gem.”
