Kalonzo Muyoka and William Ruto

Notwithstanding their political distinctions, Kalonzo Muyoka, the leader of the Wiper Party, has stated that he is friendly with President William Ruto.

Kalonzo claims that he has a sincere friendship with the head of state and that his main disagreement with him relates to the choices the head of state has made as the country's leader.

Speaking to HabariStar TV, he added, "I have no issues with Ruto; every time we meet, he says, ndugu yangu Kalonzo, I have no issues with anyone."

The past vice president emphasised that, until some of the opposition's initiatives are evaluated, he will steadfastly support their right to raise issues with the government.

"I have an issue with those who will stop at nothing to gain power. Sio mambo ya kibinafsi ni msimamo na ikiwa msimamo wa pamoja ikiwa ni kundi la Azimio mimi nitakuwa plae kuhakikisha tuko pamoja ili tulinde hali ya democracy ya nchi yetu.

He said that the opposition has yet to acknowledge Ruto as the country's legitimately chosen President and threatened to request the unlocking of the IEBC servers, which he says contain the real results of the hotly contested 2022 election.

"It won't be difficult to identify him if the server is unlocked and the truth is made public following the constitution. But we watched the handover from Uhuru Kenyatta, so we understand that he has the authority," Kalonzo remarked.

He also criticised the leadership of the country for employing excessive force against people, national leaders, and their loved ones during the anti-government rallies, claiming that the state was abusing its authority to break the law.
