Prominent Zimbabwean-British clergyman Uebert Angel Mudzanire has generated controversy by announcing an online course on doing miracles.

The course, which costs £999 (about KSh 166,800), claims to teach students how to work signs, wonders, and miracles with Prophet Uebert Angel in person.

Pastor Uebert stressed in a Facebook post that spaces were filling up quickly and urged interested parties to register as soon as possible. The pastor's website allows participants to register for the course, which will run from April 1 to April 3, 2024.

Reactions to the news were not uniform; while some expressed excitement and interest, others expressed doubt and worry.

A few were fascinated by the chance to explore the paranormal and broaden their comprehension of miracles.

Others, however, raised concerns about the course's consistency with religious beliefs, comparing it to biblical stories and raising ethical concerns about teaching people how to do miracles.

A commenter asked if it was still necessary for people to acquire knowledge about how to do miracles in the modern world, while another likened the training to the biblical tale of Simon the magician.
