21 teens arrested in Webuye with alcohol and used condoms in an in-house party

Webuye Police officers in Bungoma county arrests 21 teens at an alcohol-filled hotel party.

Bungoma East OCPD Valerian Obore says police officers acted on a tip-off from the public about the teenager’s party.

The officers said arrested were all under 18 years. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to buy or consume alcohol in Kenya.

OCPD Valerian Obore called on parents to be more careful and monitor their children whereabouts as there is a long school holiday.

“Get to know where your kids are. This is what is causing excessive teenage pregnancies and many children into drugs,” warned parents.
