Peter Mutisya, 37, in Makueni County commits suicide after slaughtering his two children at their home in Kaseve-Mithumo village in Mbooni Sub-County.
Nduluku Chief, Jeremiah Makau, the 37-year-old -man was at home with his two boys while his wife, a casual labourer, was away on night duty.
Peter Mutisya hanged himself to death with a string on a mango after executing the boys, aged 4 and 9.
It was not instantly clear what led the man to take the lives of his children and hang himself thereafter.
The three bodies were taken to a mortuary in Tawa town in the same county.
