A dubious, now popular video purports to show Kenyan actor and comedian ‘Omosh,’ real name Joseph Kinuthia, undergoing an exorcism.

The viral video, which went viral on Monday, sparked controversy, especially because the alleged ‘exorcism’ was performed by Prophet Kanyari, allege it as stage managed.
Pastor Kanyari begins the video by proclaiming that he had delivered ‘Omosh’ from the devils who are now detaining him captive.

With a twist of his finger and a series of lavish, uncontrolled movements, the preacher, who was exposed in 2015 for deceiving his church, sends the actor sprawled on the floor before proclaiming him free.

The once-famous actor claimed that the viral film was staged and that he had just fallen prey to the’spirit.’
“Mtumishi wa Mungu kukuombea si vibaya. There was no acting there. I was being prayed for you I was deep in prayers. When he put his hand on me nikajirelease kama ni baraka siwezi kaza mguu ionekane sikuanguka. No! I fell,” Omosh was quoted as saying.

“Nimemfungulia Joseph anga, ndio Nyota yake ikaweze kurejea,… I set this man free,” the peacher added.

However, some gospel musicians claim that it was clout chasing and Omosh was paid to do that.
