Blue Economy; Malindi waterfront project construction begins occupying 300 acres of beachfront – Governor Amason Kingi

Kilifi county governor Amason Kingi today headed a multi-sectoral meeting from the state department of Public works led by Architecture Mr. Silvester Muli to discuss the just commenced construction of Malindi waterfront at Bunthwani, Malindi.
The project will consist of 2 football pitches, Walkways, restaurants, Stalls, gym, washrooms, Parking lots and Modern children playing areas.
The multifaced Malindi waterfront project will occupy 300 acres of Malindi sea frontline starting from Vasco da Gama to Sabaki bridge.
The two-year project is expected to enhance tourism, boost fishing business and building the town and Kilifi county as a tourist destination.
