Issa Mmari Wangui nicknamed E-Sir, a legend in the Kenyan music business, died on March 16, 2003.

The ‘Boomba Train’ singer was on his way to a gig in Nairobi from Nakuru. He was joined by a mysterious figure known only as Nameless.

He is still remembered and his songs are still played 19 years later. Celebrities from Kenya have paid respect to the deceased hero.

Wahu expressed gratitude to E-Sir for sharing his gift with the rest of the world.
