The Deputy Governor and his driver are quarantined at Mbagathi Hospital, Nairobi. The detectives, however, are tracing all the people he came to contact with in the past four days.

Detectives in Kilifi also investigate the offices he went to after he failed to quarantine at home. They also investigate the driver where he went and which people he picked.

The deputy Governor was tested in Mombasa but he was later taken to Mbagathi Hospital after exhibiting the real symptoms of covid-19 as they were waiting for results. His Driver was admitted to Mombasa Coast General Hospital with breathing problems but later taken to Mbagathi where both are receiving treatment. They are in stable condition.

The Government, however, maintained that there is no cause for alarm as the virus can be treated but urged people to follow the state directives of maintaining hygiene.
