Detectives from Mombasa arrest Rabai police officer who accompanied Kilifi Chief officer Ken Kazungu alias Tungule at his birthday party at a Kilifi backpack.
Detectives, however, are in pursue of six others who attended the birthday party including the Chief officer.
They defied social distancing and gathering measures outlined by the government over the fight against the naval virus.
Chief Officer Ken is one of the super officers allied to the county governor Amason Kingi.
Detectives, however, cite his cordial relationship with governor powers his pride.
He has been on the radar of the detectives over graft allegations in the county that involved Malindi Mp Aisha Jumwa and Governor Amason Kingi.
He is considered to the centre man between the governor and his proxies.
Upon arresting, Mr Ken will be taken to 14 days mandatory quarantines together with his friends who attended his birthday.
He will also be charged for endangering lives by defying social distancing and gathering.
The charges mount to 6 months behind bars or Sh 20,000 bailout.
