According to their family, a kisii guy killed his fiancée after discovering they were connected.
According to the family of a lady who was killed in Kisii, the attacker was enraged that he was unable to wed their relative because they were connected.
It has recently come to light that Stephen Orengo and Lucy Boke, 22, are connected, according to police, who made the arrest.
Orengo and Boke’s families had gotten together and decided that even though they were expecting a child together, they would not be married.
The woman was said to have been slain by a guy who became enraged and followed her to Kisii, where she was studying.
Boke was enrolled in a beauty and treatment school, and her child was nine months old. After being murdered, her body was discovered at her home in Kisii’s Jogoo neighborhood on November 9.
Police added that they had also located the murder weapon inside the residence.
The mission had taken the alleged attacker from his residence in Kuria.
The people had chased him out of a home where he was hiding, and the police intervened to prevent them from lynching him.
Authorities stated that they are looking into the possibility of further accomplices in the murderous act.
Along with the suspect, the 22-year-old student was born in Masaba village in Kuria West, Migori County.
Amina Nyihembe, her mother, informed the media that the woman turned down the man’s proposal of marriage.
She was not quite through with the first term when she realized that her love had soured. Studying had been difficult for her, she admitted.
The families met, according to her uncle Ngen Matatiro, and decided the couple would not get married.
He said, “The man followed our girl to Kisii, where the murder occurred, after learning it was not possible.”
In certain cultures, it is considered a sin to marry a relative.
Furthermore, there is a fresh disagreement over the Boke’s final resting place.
The Boke family claims that since the two were not married, it is not appropriate for the family of Orengo to demand the body.
Boke’s family has turned down the requests.
Kisii police have stated that as the murder investigation continues, they will present Orengo in court.
