Jaramogi Oginga Odinga recreational park alias Mamboleo park will be transformed to Jomo Kenyatta International stadium in the next six months at Sh 350 Million.
The Mamboleo Showground famously known is set to get a major face-lift after the Government broke grounds today ahead of construction of a Sh350 million 20,000 seater modern stadium.
The stadium will host football national league teams in the region. The Modern stadium will follow all FIFA guidelines.

Sports CS Amina Mohamed graced the ground-breaking ceremony with Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o and will be called Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium and whose construction is expected within six months.
The CS further said funds for the stadium will be drawn from the Sports Fund but she expects more support from the Treasury.
