After the 2022 general elections were over, Raila Odinga and his Azimio brigades went to the streets to demand inclusion in government; “they” conceded. They formed a national dialogue committee, NADCO, and held the national dialogue sessions live on camera, where Kenyans presented their opinions and suggestions.
ODM leader Raila Odinga backed down, relaxed, and waited. Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who spearheaded the move, also relaxed while waiting for the implementation. The report has been sitting on the shelves for over a year without any debate or adoption in parliament.
Kenya was alarmed by the move, which provided justification for not yet constituting the IEBC.
Then came the Gen Zs, who, in their struggle, aroused national economic concern amid protests. “They” again conceded that they intend to form a new multisectoral committee.
She called it NADCO 2 loading, according to the Member of Parliament for Githunguri Constituency.
Now it is clear that any committee reports that require action from the Kenyan parliament are as dead as dodos.
What happened to the report of fake fertilizer? Where are TJRC and Ndung’u, among other reports?
“Based on my personal experience, I can confidently confirm that nothing will come out of the youth dialogue except for the report.” The majority of Kenyans have lost their trust in Parliament due to heavy patronization, desecration, and defilement, according to Member of Parliament Githunguri Constituency Gathoni Wamuchomba.
“What do you expect from a parliament that secretly passes agendas without following the House business committee’s standing order?” The media and reporters for Mwananchi have not been involved in the secret passage of some bills.
The legislator says, “The multisectoral committee will be another theatric to buy time and scatter the already-compounding voice of the disappointed youth of Kenya. It’s my opinion that this will be another round of pounding water in a pot. No Ugali can emerge from it, regardless of the energy input.”
“For the Gen Zs, this is your constitutional moment. Those of us who came before you agree—we were deceived, subdued, and lost it—which is why the systems aren’t working in your favor right now. It’s understandable why you’re constantly interacting with us in such absurd ways. My advice is to seize it and push for change. We are looking up to you from afar,” MP Wamuchomba stated.
Based on past events, which saw former President Uhuru Kenyatta ascend to power by exploiting the ICC narrative, it is evident that the only outcome will be the exposure of youths to graves.
Those entertaining dialogues with President Ruto should reflect on ICC witnesses. They allegedly received bribes and promises of jobs. Each and every one of them, including the late Meshack Yebei and his co-witnesses, tracked them down and murdered them as soon as they returned from hiding.
