Mike Sonko commits 100% of his salary to the Poor in Nairobi due to Coronavirus

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko donates 100% of his salary to the poor people living in Nairobi over the Coronavirus. He directed Sonko rescue team to establish centres where they will distribute essentials to the poor at their homes in Nairobi.

” I have a good house, can feed my family even without the salary. I have decided to take all my salary to people who need it. After the President and his deputy decided to have pay-cuts at 80%, I’m donating 100% of my salary to the Nairobians, ” says Governor Sonko Mbuvi.

The Governor, however, said he is working with some companies in the city to distribute water to the slums and other parts of the county to minimise movement as they fight against Coronavirus continues.
