Millicent Kithinji, the host of a party where 44 teenagers were arrested by Police officers be behind bars for seven days to allow time for investigations.
DCI detectives on Saturday night arrested 44 school children and the host – Millicent Kithinji – in a house at Nairobi’s Mountain View Estate.
During the operation, the detectives confiscated various brands of alcohol, used condoms and bhang.
The 26 boys and 18 girls aged between 14 and 17 years were all in primary and high schools.
Kithinji, aged 41, was detained for questioning by detectives based at Dagoretti.
The Primary inquiries revealed the children were from Nairobi, Kiambu Machakos counties.
Kithinji and two other suspects appeared by the Milimani law courts on Monday, when police asked the court to give them seven days to settle investigations.
However, the defence told senior principal magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot that seven days was a lot.
They alleged Mrs Kithinji has a pre-existing medical fitness.
However, the prosecution asked the court to give it seven days, asking the magistrate to view the children who were enticed by Kithinji.
Cheruiyot authorised police to confine all suspects for seven days.
He, however, ordered police to escort Kithinji back to the house- a crime scene- to collect her medicine.
